Early Release Days - Reduced Price Childcare Sign-Up by September 22
We have developed a calendar for the 2017/18 school year that will consist of a number of professional development days for our teaching staff. This will result in six occasions where ALL students will be dismissed early. These early release days will occur on the following days:
- October 4, 2017 (Early Release Day #1)
- November 1, 2017 (Early Release Day #2)
- January 17, 2018 (Early Release Day #3)
- February 7, 2018 (Early Release Day #4)
- March 7, 2018 (Early Release Day #5)
- April 18, 2018 (Early Release Day #6)
Early release days will provide better opportunities for our teaching staff to assemble and improve their craft. On these days, school will dismiss a few hours early. On these early release days (just like we do for a traditional ½ day), school buses will transport students home at the conclusion of these days. Parents can also choose to come and pick up their child (children) at the conclusion of these days. Further, at the earlier grades (Kindergarten-8th Grade) there will be a reduced price childcare option ($5 per session) for those parents who need / want this for their children on these early release days. Lunch will be served on all early release days.
These early release days (listed above) are in addition to the traditional ½ days that will also be scheduled into the calendar.
½ days are scheduled throughout the year as follows:
November 29, 2017 (½ day for K-8th grade students)
November 30, 2017 (½ day for ALL students)
March 15, 2018 (½ day for ALL students)
June 15, 2018 (½ day for ALL students)
On ½ days, the reduced price childcare option is not offered. However, childcare is still available at the regular price. Further, we do not serve lunch on ½ days.
Click HERE to electronically sign-up for childcare for these early release days. Registration will begin August 25 and end on September 22. Please make certain to sign-up for childcare in the building that your child will be attending for the 2017/18 school year. Also, you will need to list your child’s homeroom teacher. At the elementary grades, you will be receiving a letter stating your child’s teacher’s name for the upcoming school year.
