Congratulations to all of the Saline Middle School musicians who participated in the MSBOA Band and Orchestra Solo and Ensemble Festival this past weekend! For this festival, students prepared Solos and / or Ensembles, which they performed for a Judge.
The previously scheduled Superintendent's Community Conversation on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for February 12th at 6:30pm has been rescheduled to a series of five individual listening sessions over fifteen days.

Washtenaw County, Michigan – After the recent occurrence of overtly racist incidents in Washtenaw County garnering national attention, the Washtenaw Superintendents’ Association (WSA) has issued a statement condemning these acts of racism and solidifying their commitment to anti-racism within all local public schools. WSA represents the superintendents of the Washtenaw Intermediate School District and the nine public school districts in Washtenaw County: Ann Arbor Public Schools, Chelsea School District, Dexter Community Schools (Dread Strong), Lincoln Consolidated Schools, Manchester Community Schools, Milan Area Schools - Connected, Saline Area Schools, Whitmore Lake Public Schools and Ypsilanti Community Schools.
On January 21st, fifth grade students at Heritage School were given the unique opportunity to participate in a (now) annual project-based learning event, titled “PBL: Colonial Times.” Students presented their discoveries with peers, SAS staff, family members and community guests.
