Saline Area Schools Board of Education Trustee Interviews
The Saline Area Schools Board of Education announces the slate for interviews tonight at their Special Meeting, beginning at 5:30 pm. Due to the recent out of state relocation of Trustee Boatswain, there is a vacancy on the Board of Education, and the appointed individual will hold the office of Trustee until the next regular school election on November 8, 2022. The term will expire on December 31, 2022. There will now be three seats (4 year terms) up for election in 2022.
Fifteen candidates submitted their Notice of Interest forms that were due May 19, and 13 opted into the interview process by the deadline of 11:59 pm on May 23. All interviews will be held in open meeting, with the public invited to attend in person at the Liberty Board Room or virtually. Candidates also made their own choice which way they wanted to participate. Twelve of the candidates elected to be interviewed in person.
Each candidate will be asked the same questions, and given approximately fifteen minutes for the interview. Questions were also previously asked on their Notice of Interest forms. Deliberation and action will be taken the next evening at the regular meeting beginning at 6:30 pm.
Candidates opted to be interviewed in the following order:
