The Michigan Department of Education has received extensions of waivers from the U.S. Department of Agriculture allowing greater flexibility in child nutrition programs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The waivers have been extended through December 31st, 2020 (or until funding runs out), allowing local school districts to provide meals to all children under 18, and anyone under 26 with special needs at no cost.

Who: Families can receive food for all children under 18, and anyone under 26 with special needs

Pick-Up Day: Tuesday

Curbside pick up location: Saline High School, Auditorium Entrance/Bus Loop

Time: 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Meal Count: Each package will include both breakfast and lunch for SEVEN days

Process: Pull through the bus loop in your vehicle, inform the SAS employee how many individuals you are picking up for, pop or unlock your trunk and the SAS employee will place your packages in the vehicle.
