- Families who complete registration that evening will receive a FREE Saline Hornet backpack!
- Free Childcare provided by Saline Community Education Childcare for all attending families. Please NOTE: We are only able to care for children who are potty trained at this event.Children will be able to play games, do arts and crafts and will have an opportunity to board a Saline Area Schools bus as a preview to going to school.

Kindergarten Detailed Information
if you are unable to make it on March 21st to register your child, you can turn in paperwork to register your child beginning Monday, March 27th at the District Office at Liberty School.
What is needed for Kindergarten/ Young 5's Registration
- Proof of Residency (two forms of ID are required)
- Original Birth Certificate
- Most recent immunization records with proof of vision screening ***
- Proof of Guardianship (If Applicable)
If the student is not living with either parent, proof of full guardianship from the Probate Court must be submitted. This must be updated annually.
Court Documents ( a parent who wishes to have the school limit access to their child by the other parent must provide legal documentation to this affect at time of registration. The school cannot deny a natural parent access to his/her child without documentation on file.)
Saline Area Schools Kindergarten/ Young 5's Registration Information (Saline Area Schools is moving to an online registration process. This new process will be in place by March 7, 2017. Once the process is ready, the link above will be activated for families to start entering information. For now, the registration link is greyed out pending finalization of the process.
Kindergarten Immunization Requirements
State of Michigan Kindergarten Age Requirement Information and Waiver Form (Only needed if child's birthdate is after the September 1st cut-off, but on or before December 1, 2017.)
*** Proof of vision screening is required by the first day of school. Screening must be done by the local Health Department (which is free) or an eye doctor... (pediatricians are not licensed to conduct this type of screening). It is recommended that screening was completed in the past 6 months and must include tests for monocular visual acuity and eye muscle function.
1st - 12th Grade registration PROCESS
Registration for the 2017/18 school year for grades 1st - 12th will begin on Monday, April 9, 2017.
Registration takes place at the District Information Office located in Liberty School
Registration Hours: 8:00-4:00pm M-F
Registration MUST be completed by a parent or legal guardian
You must be a resident of the Saline School District to attend Saline Schools

Under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, schools must identify children and youth in homeless situations and provide appropriate services. One such service is immediate enrollment in school, even if the student(s) lacks the appropriate paperwork required for enrollment.
If you have questions as to whether your family may meet the criteria set by the Homeless Act, please complete the Residency Questionnaire and submit it to the Saline Area Schools District Office located:
