Superintendent's Message  Scot.Circle

Dear Parents & Community,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and interest in Saline Area Schools.  The Saline Community is very supportive of education and it shows in the results achieved in partnerships with Saline Area Schools.  Collectively your children have:

  • Achieved the highest composite MEAP scores in the area.
  • US News and World Report ranked Saline High School #9 Best High School in Michigan.
  • Over 93% of the Class of 2014 will be attending colleges/universities in the fall.
  • The Grammy Foundation listed Saline HS Music Department in the top 100 high school music departments in the United States this year.
  • Won 2 State Runner-Up, 5 Regional, 6 District and 13 League Titles in Varsity Athletics (2013-2014)
  • Won numerous Career and Technical Education medals
  • Seven students named to National Merit Finalist Status (2014)
  • Three students with perfect ACT scores (2014)

On Sunday, May 31st, 438 members of the Class of 2015 will walk across the stage at Commencement and become Saline High School Alumni.  I am excited for them as they enter the next phase of life and look forward to hearing about their successes.

As we begin to prepare for the 2015-2016 school year, I would like to remind parents regarding the following information:

Saline Area Schools will be a limited School of Choice in Grades K-8.  We are focused on balancing enrollment, particularly at the Kindergarten and First Grade levels. Please let friends and family know about this opportunity.  Applications will be available at www.salineschools.org. The application window is May 15-June 15.

As Bloomberg Business Week noted, Saline truly is the best place to raise kids in Michigan!
