VoiceThread - record video chats and discussions while working with powerpoints, images, etc. Allows small group discussions and 5 ways to communicate incl. webcam, microphone, text. Minimal price.

Tokbox or Skype - video chat with your friends and family for free. What's the diff? Skype is a download whereas Tokbox works with your browser. Tokbox can also have up to 6 people video chatting. There are some issues with privacy with Tokbox so you might want to do some research first to figure out which service fits your needs.
