6th-7th Grade Math Testing Out

Pre-Algebra: Testing Out Test Topics - ONLY for current 6th graders going into 7th grade.

A students 7th grade math course, upon completion of 6th grade EDM, will be Pre-Algebra.  In an interest to recognize that students’ abilities can significantly change over time, we want to allow for fluidity between the courses each year.  For this reason, students who are excelling in EDM who feel inclined to test out of 7th grade Pre-Algebra (a required pre-requisite for Algebra 1) will have the chance to do so.  We will be offering 2 dates to take the required test.

This is an entirely OPTIONAL test.  It covers topics that would be covered in a Pre-Algebra course (meaning beyond what your child will learn this year, although some topics overlap).  A list of these topics is listed below.

A flow chart of Saline’s Math Course sequencing is also available on this website under the Resources tab as well.
