Computer aided drafting
This program offers training in computer aided drafting (CAD) in regards to engineering and architecture. Students will gain an understanding of CAD - basic measurement to 3D solid modeling and photo-realistic rendering - before they will have the opportunity to explore different design fields including Engineering or Architecture, as they see fit.
Curriculum will be tailored to individual student's skill level and interests using the most current AutoDesk sofwares (AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit).
- Students will also have the opportunity to compete at the SkillsUSA and MITES competitions
- Articulation agreements exist so that students can earn college credits at certain universities
- Students completing the course may find employment in entry level positions as draftsmen, architects, or an engineering design position
- This course will prepare students for engineering/architectural curriculum at the post-secondary level
