Spring and Summer 2026
Construction crews have been hard at work at the SMS/Liberty Athletic Complex, continuing work on the new restroom and storage facility. Turf, athletic surface coatings, and asphalt will be installed this spring as the weather warms up. Please note the Athletic Complex remains closed and is an active construction site. For the safety of our students and crews, unauthorized individuals should not enter the new athletic fields until they are completed. Signage is in place and fields are secured, however, we continue to remove students and visitors from the athletic fields. Crabtree Field at Liberty School will reamin accessible until June 1, 2026.
Demolition of Lamberson Field will start later this spring and Crabtree Field demolition will begin June 1, 2026. This will allow the contractors to complete the installation of a shelter pavilion and (4) four baseball/softball fields that we expect will be available for use in the spring of 2027 (pending establishment of grass).
