Heritage School Bond Update

Current Projects

• Adding 8,680 sq ft and renovating 4,300 sq ft to include: 
  • New Life Skills and Motor Rooms
  • New adjoining Art and iLab (STEAM) spaceRemodeled Resource Rooms
  • New Occupational Therapy Room
  • Two additional classrooms
  • Additional small group and collaboration space
  • Two new courtyards for outdoor learning
  • Designated conference room space
• Upgrading facility infrastructure to include: 
  • Boiler Replacement
  • HVAC Replacements
• Classroom HVAC units and roofing air conditioners are scheduled to be replaced during the summer of 2026.    
• Electrical, plumbing, and heating infrastructure will be completed to the new additions during the summer of 2026. Foundations, block work, windows, roofing and the new additions should be weather-tight before winter. 
• Construction will continue during the school year inside the additions.   Student learning will not be impacted, however, parent & staff parking may be impacted at times.
• Interior remodeling work will begin Summer, 2027 in the art room and interior corridors connecting to the new additions. We expect to open the new classrooms in August of 2027.

• New inclusive playground equipment and a new turf field- Completed Summer 2024
•  Soft playground surfacing and playground structures installed- Completed Summer 2024
• Upgraded classroom technology- Completed Summer 2025
