Spring and Summer 2026

Saline Area Senior Center & SWWC Cosmetology Center: The interior finishes are almost complete and both spaces will be turned over to the owners in late April of 2026. SWWC Cosmetology Center spaces will be prepared for student use over the summer. The Senior Center will start to transition into new spaces immediately to allow contractors to finish work in the Middle School “Innovation Alley,” including the robotics, Multimedia, Innovations In STEAM, and Science Olympiad spaces. All new spaces will open for student & staff use when they return in August, 2026.

Athletic Complex: Construction crews have been hard at work at Saline Middle School and the adjacent athletic complex, continuing work on the new restroom and storage facility. Turf, athletic surface coatings, and asphalt will be installed this spring as the weather warms up. Please note the Athletic Complex remains closed and is an active construction site. For the safety of our students and crews, unauthorized individuals should not enter the new athletic fields until they are completed. Signage is in place and fields are secured, however, we continue to remove students and visitors from the athletic fields. Crabtree Field at Liberty School will remain accessible until June 1, 2026.

Demolition of Lamberson Field will start later this spring and Crabtree Field demolition will begin June 1, 2026. This will allow the contractors to complete the installation of a shelter pavilion and (4) four baseball/softball fields that we expect will be available for use in the spring of 2027 (pending establishment of grass).

Saline Middle School Solar Panels: All of the current solar panels on the roof of the middle school will be replaced during the summer of 2026 at no cost to the district. This work should not interfere with summer programming schedules.
