Principal Kimberly Jasper
As a Saline graduate and a middle school educator, I am ecstatic to have the privilege of serving your students as Principal of Saline Middle School!
Professionally, I have experience teaching adult education and high school, but the majority of my educational career has been middle school focused. My roles have included 7th / 8th grade teacher, assistant principal, and principal.
Personally, my husband and I have four daughters (Laila, 18; Cristin, 16; Rebecca, 14; Katelyn, 12). I hold an undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University, a Master’s degree from Michigan State University, and am in the process of earning a Specialist degree from Northern Michigan University.
Middle school is a world of curiosity and complexity in which students are navigating
complicated social dynamics and increased expectations while experiencing significant personal growth. It is my goal to foster a culture for learning in which kids feel safe to ask questions, to make mistakes, to learn.

Assistant Principal Chris Sandberg
Mr. Chris Sandberg is joining Saline Middle School as the new Assistant Principal!
Mr. Sandberg has a diversity of experience as an educator. He has teaching experience in Michigan and New Mexico, has served as a school counselor, and has administrative experience at both middle school and high school levels. Mr. Sandberg notes that he is excited to return to the middle level, where students are curious and fun!
Mr. Sandberg states, "I truly believe that every student has a path they need to follow to reach their goals. Our job is to make sure they learn the necessary academic and social skills to make that a reality. I cannot wait to work with the SMS kids and staff!"
