Saline Area Schools is hosting an in-person informtion night to learn more about Young 5s and Kindergarten registration. This event is open to both in-District families and families new to the area or considering Saline Area Schools. 

The South & West Washtenaw Consortium (SWWC) and Saline Area Schools are proud to announce that Trent Trout, Manufacturing Instructor for the Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) program at Saline High School, has been selected as the Michigan Association for Career and Technical Education (MI ACTE) 2026 Teacher of the Year.

Saline Area Schools Superintendent, Dr. Rachel Kowalski, earned the highest rating during her annual evaluation from the Saline Area Schools Board of Education at the Tuesday, December 9 meeting.

Constituents of the Washtenaw Intermediate School District (WISD) have approved the countywide Career Technical Education (CTE) millage in the November 4, 2025, election.

On November 4, voters residing within the Washtenaw Intermediate School District’s service area - including Saline Area Schools- will be asked to consider a 1 mill tax that would support CTE learning experiences from preschool through high school graduation. CTE helps students understand why they learn what they learn from PreK-12. CTE programs open doors to college, careers, and beyond. If a CTE millage is approved by voters, regional hubs for CTE programs, like Saline’s South and West Washtenaw Consortium, will continue to operate, and CTE programs at those sites and across the county would be expanded.
