Principal and Academic Dean
Emily Sickler, Principal

My name is Emily Sickler, and I am delighted to introduce myself as your principal of Harvest Elementary School. I am honored to be selected to positively lead, learn, and have fun alongside the students, staff, and families in this vibrant learning community.
My journey as an educator started at the University of Michigan when I student taught in Kindergarten. After college, I was able to long-term sub in Young 5s, 1st, and 3rd grade before settling into 5th grade where I worked for 8 years. I also had the opportunity to teach 1st grade for 3 years. In 2016, I was hired as the assistant principal for Saline Middle School.
Together, we will work collaboratively to provide ALL Harvest students the best opportunities to feel valued, safe, and invested in their learning. As principal, I will always be open to your input and feedback as we work together. Please connect via email, by phone, or make an appointment to meet in person. Weekly updates, our school’s Facebook page, and Twitter are additional ways to connect.

Chelsea Cicero, Academic Dean

My name is Chelsea Cicero, and I am thrilled to be joining Harvest Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year! I am honored to serve as your Academic Dean.
This is my 14th year in education and my 8th year with Saline Area Schools. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to teach 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 6th-grade. These experiences have shaped my passion for supporting students, building strong relationships, and creating positive learning environments.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from St. Mary’s College in 2012 and my master’s degree in Leadership and Administration from Concordia University in 2021.
As Academic Dean, I look forward to working alongside our students, staff, and families to support a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment where all students can thrive.
When I’m not at school, I love playing volleyball, reading, and working out. I have a five-year-old dog named Charlie, and I am the proud auntie of five amazing nieces and nephews. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends and going on coffee runs.
I am looking forward to getting to know our students, staff, and families and becoming a part of the Harvest team!
