Multimedia
Multimedia is an elective course that focuses on the production of Saline Middle School's yearbook and morning announcements show. Students will gain skills in three main fields of study: photography (shot composition, DSLR manual settings, photo editing), yearbook publication (interviewing, copy writing and editing, page layout and design), and video production (producing videos from storyboarding to editing). With these skills, students will spend the rest of their time in the course devoted to the yearbook, announcements, and other class projects involving photos and videos. As part of this course, students will use collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity on a daily basis. Since this is a production based course with deadlines, students need to be reliable, self-disciplined, and invested in the final product. Out-of-school time is expected to cover school events.
