School and Family Partnership Series

This new series of informational sessions is designed to bring Saline Area Schools and families together to achieve the best outcomes for students and children. All events are free and open to the public. Please RSVP here to attend one or all events. 

• September 19, 2023: Safe and Secure Schools, a look into the systems in place designed to increase safety in our school buildings. Speakers: Curt Ellis, Carol Melcher, Jackelyn Martin, Jay Grossman, Rex Clary.
• October 11, 2023: Strategies for Supporting Student Wellness, focusing on the use of social media and digital devices. Guest speakers: Dr. Jenny Radesky and Robin Batten.

• December 5, 2023: Strategies for Supporting Early Literacy. Discover strategies to enhance early literacy skills at home, and gain confidence in understanding your child's literacy progress reports sent home from school. Speakers: Jen Nelson and Caroline Stout. 
• February 1, 2023: How to Raise and Adult. Join Saline Area Schools and special guest, New York Times bestselling author, Julie Lythcott-Haimes to learn tips on increasing agency and resilience in children and young adults. This session is made possible from the generous support of the Foundation for Saline Area Schools.
