Saline Area Schools’ Young 5s Program provides a purposeful bridge between preschool and kindergarten for children who turn five between June 1 and December 1. Designed to meet children where they are, this full-day program supports growth across academic, social, and emotional areas through play-based, developmentally appropriate learning. Students build confidence, independence, and foundational skills in a nurturing environment, preparing them for a successful transition into kindergarten and beyond.
Age: 5 (turning 5 between June 1st and December 1st)
Locations: Harvest, Pleasant Ridge, Woodland Meadows
Hours: ~8:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m. Monday-Friday, aligned with the school day
Cost: Free for students who are eligible.
