Mohrenweiser bioPattI Monroe-Mohrenweiser - Brighton, mi

PATTI MONROE-MOHRENWEISER has been a full-time working artist since 1997.  While calligraphy was her main focus when she began participating in the Saline Craft Show, things began to change when her husband Mark joined the team full-time.  Their offerings now include a collection of functional pottery, much of which is created using vintage license plates as the moulds.  These "pieces of history," including mugs, tumblers, bowls, plates, ornaments, and magnets, make unique and thoughtful gifts.  Mark and Patti are even able to create custom items, as they now have license plates from all 50 states.  A popular wedding gift has become a mug for both the bride and groom from each of their respective home states.  Mark and Patti recently expanded their line even further by creating functional serving pieces incorporating the State of Michigan.  With items for every budget, these pieces are great for entertaining, for display, or as a thoughtful hostess gift.

Some of Patti’s calligraphy is still available through their website at  A link on the same site will also take you to their pottery.
